Overbrook Addition is situated on a five hundred and fifty acre tract of wooded rolling land in the most southerly Ozark foothills lying north of the Arkansas River in Pulaski County, Arkansas. This residential neighborhood of more than 1,000 homes lies in North Little Rock and Sherwood, Arkansas. The convenience of this location for living is unsurpassed in the central Arkansas metropolitan area. Within approximately 2 miles of Overbrook is the North Terminal Interchange from which expressways lead out in all directions including the downtown areas of Little Rock, Memphis, Jacksonville and Conway. This neighborhood has been developed in stages. The first addition of homes was constructed in the early 1970's, with new homes still being constructed.
Overbrook home owners enjoy a private park providing recreational facilities for their exclusive use and enjoyment. The park has an olympic size swimming pool, a wading pool for the little ones and dressing rooms with showers. An open aired pavilion is available and can be reserved for parties. There are 3 tennis courts and one outdoor basketball court. A shaded Big Toy equipped playground and picnic tables are more of the park’s amenities.
Several green belts running throughout Overbrook enhance the privacy of the home sites and contribute to the natural character of the land. The Five Mile Creek basin with its paved walking trail winds through Overbrook. It has been set aside as a preserve and is maintained largely in its natural state. The Overbrook trail is a wonderful retreat from the urban world.
Many shopping areas are less than 2 miles from our neighborhood. McCain Mall is an enclosed air-conditioned mall with three major department stores and 80 specialty shops. Lakewood Village is an open aired mall offering an amphitheater with frequent entertainment, specialty shops, restaurants and a movie theater. There are grocery stores and many eateries within blocks of our homes.
Many families young and old live in Overbrook. Those families with children have 2 public school systems serving the neighborhood. The elementary campuses are just blocks from our homes. We also have several private schools within just a few miles. Senior citizens can enjoy a wide variety of activities at the North Little Rock’s Patrick Henry Hayes Senior Citizens Center.
