| Proposed Assesment Increase Passed |
|
A special THANKS to all those who attended the OPOA special meeting Tuesday, December 1st. It was was a chilly night and your presence was appreciated. We were able to reach a quorum vote. We had 59 property owners present to vote. We needed 39 to reach a quorum. The proposed assessment increase of $15.80 a year passed with an overwhelming majority. 54 votes FOR and 5 votes AGAINST. The increase will take effect for the 2010 assessment period making our new annual assessmnet $149.00. Invoices will be sent out the first week of December, 2009 with the OPOA December Community News Flyer. In January the OPOA Board of Directors will begin prioritizing the major projects needed to maintain our private common areas. This assessment increase will bring an extra $16,000 to our budget. This will allow us to select at least one major project a year. We will update the website after the January meeting with the projects selected for 2010. Again, the Board would like to thank all those who have come out to support the meetings in the last several months. We thank you for your both your concern and your vote of confidence. We hope to continue to make Overbrook a beautiful, desirable and safe place to live. |
